The only thing that I like about Macs is they are simple to use.
gif and jpg are file formats, not programs. So what you say doesn't make sense, from my point of view.
You can see gifs (otherwise you wouldn't see my crazyeye smiley) and jpgs, but you need a graphics program to save in gif or jpg. Most programs, including paint which you should have at your computer, can do that. Hope I make more sense now.

I know that they are file formats. I have checked every program I have that could possibly be able to save in either format and pasted my picture in and hit save as and checked the file formats I could save in for paint, Mircosoft word, and Imging but found that I couldn't save in those formats. And yes before someone asks I do know how to save in JPEG, I have done it at school (on Macs but never the less...) many times. Computers teacher get very angry at my school if you don't save large pictures in JPEG format.

they are great machines, but gates has better markating abilities then the mac guys did- I also remind you that more then a fair share of current windows tech is based on software the mac guys sold to gates after the creator of Apple was kicked out- but now that he is back just take alook, mac is again at front end of high preformance computers, its just that it isnt as attractive to soft ware creators because of its limtied market- with the excetion of the graphivs, and art oreinted stuff, which is what macs have the edge in...
