I should point out that the 'keeping planes off carriers' trick wasn't my own idea. I think it was in a post I read from BoneDoc, so credit goes to him. And yes, it definitely does work. I have Smoking Mirror's ground attack plane as my naval bomber, (replacing the Stealth Fighter, which seems to me a redundant unit) and it's a great improvement: more realistic, and it makes for a strategic choice between bomber types. I'm tempted to add a jet bomber too, since there's no modern non-stealth unit to replace the B-17.
