Don't worry - nothing to do with time travel! I would just like to see the Future Era reinstated. Something seems fundamentally wrong about researching the Internet and Giant Death Robots at the same time!
Obviously adding a whole new Era requires adding a fair bit of content, but here's just a few ideas for new units:
I have slightly different ideas for the upgrade chains too. I would alter it such that:
Hopefully adding more units will add a bit more richness to the final military stages of the game, as well as allowing players to dare to attack GDRs

- Amphibious Assault Vehicle (upgraded from Marines)
- Stealth Destroyer (upgraded from Destroyer)
- Scorpion (upgraded from Helicopter Gunship) - similar to this
- Javelin (upgraded from Antitank Gun) - Probably some form of plasma weapon
- Floating Fortress (upgraded from Carrier) - Fresh out of 1984! A Carrier that can also perform ranged attacks and launch missiles.
- Plasma Team (upgraded from Bazooka)
- Meks (upgraded from Mechanised Infantry) - similar to this
- Hover Tank (upgraded from Modern Armour)
- Fusion Bomb (upgraded from Nuclear Missile)
