I know, I could just disable (bad) events, but honestly, I like a mix of good and bad things happening once in a while in my game. But what I had to endure in my recent game was a bit too much of think.
I don't have anything against a sporadic uprising in one of my cities. I gladly pay the culture to avoid it or, if units are present, enjoy the free experience.
But when I'm currently fighting a two front war, and "up to three rebels" spawn near every of my 10 cities, only because I don't possess the circus maximus, it is just too much. Especially, when every one of these cities had the singular (either have rebels, oder pay 100 culture).
Is there a way to implement a cool down timer for all events.
I don't want to build a shrine in every city, just du avoid bad consequences if I'm not interested in faith. I don't want to be forced to have certain niche buildings, just to avoid major setbacks, revolts or desasters.
