AI builds it city's on a bad terrain or not far away from other city's
when he could make better use of the lend.
Happed's the you get bad terrain, but engeeners can change it to a better one, but no AI never use this option!:egypt:
 
Yes the ai programming could definitly use some improving in the area of city site selection.I can't say how many times I see ai cities one square from being able to reach 2 whales or something.
The ai uses a 2 square ICS type overlap city layout plan.Doesn't matter to it if one of the overlapping cites is yours.:mad: ..course we can do the same :D
 
Well no one accused the AI of being smart :rolleyes:

How hard could it be to add some code like this:

if square = swamp and square.special = false then irrigate

Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it seems they've skipped some of the easier programming of the AI.:(
