Barracks & Artillery question

What will happen to an artillery if you build it in a city with barracks? Will it increase anything? Or do barracks not apply to artillery?

Nada. Save your gold, if you gotta pay for barracks (no Sun-Tzu).

You DO need barracks to upgrade cannon, tho.

@ J- The best thing to do would be to build your Arty in cities without
Barracks- since they are not Veterans anyway, and use your Barrack cities
for regular military units. Sometimes they will be the only thing you might
need in a already barracked city- other things may take too long- so go
ahead and build them . You will find that you can never have too much
Arty anyway so build them, build them and build them some more .

nice point, that's what I usually do, I was just wondering whether artillery get bonuses from barracks, which I now see they don't

If you mod arty to have lethal bombard, it can promote and even generate leaders. (Never saw, just a rumor)

For the lethal bombarmend bombers are so much better. In my games I usually have lots and lots of bombers. I noticed that bombers get promoted to elite but never saw them making a leader. I wonder if that's possible.

I've yet to see a bomber create a leader....it's not as if I haven't seen Veteran's made to elite...(check my sig ) I had quite the bomber force in my last game.

Maybe because it's an air unit?

Someone could test this pretty easy. Create a scenario with a bunch of elite arty w/ lethal bombard. Bump the attack way up. But some low defence units on the map....MI to protect them. Should be able to find out pretty quickly whether or not they will generate MGLs.

That is exactly what I do in every game.
