BAT 1.1 and unofficial patch

Sorry if this question is really naive.

I was wondering if I use BAT 1.1 mod which i understand includes BUG 3.5.1.
Do I get most of the improvements made in the unofficial patch?

I am guessing not as that would be altering gameplay which is against the BUG/BAT philosopy.

Is that right?

Yes, that's correct, the patch isn't included. However, you should just be able to simply put the DLL in the BAT folder and it should work anyway.

I tried the sticking the unofficial patch .21 dll in the assets folder of Bat Mod 1.1 but the program crashes when i hit ok after founding my first city.
I put a question in the Unofficial patch forum.
But if you have an idea why this might be happening would appreciate it.
 
thx there were a couple of xml and python files. I'll give it a try.

You need the XML files, but leave the Python files out. BUG already includes all of the Python fixes from the unofficial patch.

Thanks for the feedback. I got it all working.
I appreciate the great work you guys do sharing this stuff with everone and then helping out with what must seem obvious questions.
