Anyone like Battlefield 1942? I find it to be the greatest game i have played in the last year, excluding PTW and vanilla civ3. I love the multiplayer and kickin butt online.

Also, i find that Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and the Allied Spearhead are great shooting games and actually have you accomplish objectives even when playing online.

I just finised playing MOHAA. I had got it for Christmas. I LOVE the game. I was able to beat in on medium difficulty level in two days and am on the last level on the hard setting. The D-Day level didnt last long enough and was sort of unbeliveable-like you alone were responsiable for the securing of that section of beach. Ah well the sound and realism with the hedgehogs on that level was amazing! :goodjob: The game is very addictive and of course the graphics are great! I have yet to try the MP aspect but I hear it is solid. Havent gotten 1942 but I'm looking into getting it when the price drops a bit.

I love MOHAA. I only played the single player aspect of it but thought the D-Day assualt was kick arse!

1942 is fun but the graphics are no where close to MOHAA.

MOHAA: yes, I've played it multiplayer...dominated by two weapons, sniper rifles and bazookas!

Certainly when I played it on a LAN I did enjoy fragging people with both weapons, but it certainly was a camp fest, worse than Americas Army.

BF1942: my brother enjoys it alot. The problem I have with the game in terms of enjoyment is how virtually all battles lack any sort of coordination between players or teamwork. On the rare occasions I have had cooperation it has been really good...

The sort of players that pickup airmen that had to bail in the middle of the Pacific with the landing craft when you ask, the sort that actually shell targets you designate! Great.

As it is, it is just a horde of individuals charging for control points, spamming grenades and camping the spawn sites for frags.

I'll stick with Operation Flashpoint as the best war sim to date...
