Before I even touch the SDK, I just have a few questions...

Hi guys,

I was hoping that some people with experience in the SDK could let me know if the following game changes can be made:

1) Can I swap health for food in determining population growth times? I always felt that health-not food-should be the cardinal factor in determining if a city can grow or not-and how fast.

2) Can I change the game such that Unhappiness can be reduced below current levels? Though happiness can go up or down, unhappiness seems to be a 1-way street. It should be able to go up and down too.

3) Can I give more missions to spies? Spies are OK, but they need to be able to conduct more mission-types. In particular I want to link both types of missions and chance of success to tech levels.

4) Can I give certain units-like siege weapons and archers-a defensive bombardment ability similar to what they had in C3:Conquests? One thing I REALLY liked in Conquests was how certain ranged units could-if they were in a stack being attacked-get a free shot against the attacker, before the actual combat occured.

5) Can I give new XML domains to existing areas? For example: I REALLY want to have a Soldier Specialist who can reduce the build time of units. Now certain Civics and/or Buildings have this ability-but it is not possible to bring this ability from buildings and place it under Specialists. Can I now do this with SDK?

It is possible that some of the things I mentioned above are now do-able given the more flexible Python but, in case they aren't, can someone please tell me if its do-able with SDK?

It looks like it will be possible to do all the things you listed with the SDK. Whether you will be able to do it or not depends on your programming skill and your determination. :)
