Best feature in SMAC

-Actually being able to trade bases (without threatening or negotiating peace).
-The diplomacy options- donating units, pacts of brotherhood, asking people to call off wars, surrendering etc.
-Being able to move through, garrison and heal in pact brother/ sister's cities.
-Sea bases.
-Social engineering.

I agree totally.. Plus the plantery counsel. Why didn't civ3 included alot of these features?

Secret Projects and Planet Busters are so powerful... I like that. Even though I lost a game that I'd been way ahead in when I lost my capital with most of my Secret Projects to one of Yang's demon-toys.
