Best Feature/Worst Feature

If the game is made in America, I doubt America would not be in the game.

Best: One unit per hex

Worst: (and it isn't even that bad) Future Era robots in main game.

What do you mean? You don´t think USA deserve to be in?? If you dislike them, you can just enjoy to destroy them in game, so what is the problem??

I have nothig against USA or any other nation. I do not like idea of Ancient Americans - it seams to be so unrealistic that it hurts me. I could stand some countries that rise in medieval, but USA (IMHO) destroys climate.
I like the mechanism from Revolution mode, that allows appearing new civilizations, and with such thing I would appreciate USA as civilization.
Also I admit that today USA is one of the most important country in the world.

I do not mean to offend you.

I was not offended at all. I hate USA with a passion, but they are of course an obvious choice in a game like this.

Come again?!
Where did you hear this?

I'm really interested. I think it would be excellent so long as it's nothing far-fetched.

It was in a French magazine posted yesterday. Speculation is it's subtle and realistic.

I'm going to cheat and not be consice...

Best Feature: Just about everything announced sounds great... hexes, one unit per tile, controlled city growth, city states (I'll probably want to see these be even more influential than what they are in the release), no tech trading, some level of future tech, seeming removal of corporations that just tipped the scales of the late game to overload and added some extra tedium...

Worst Feature: Returning to generic and non influential religion system. I think it should have been streamlined (remove the missionary units in favor of a less tedious control) and its influence domestically expanded greatly. Its domestic impact in appeasing your constituents was way underplayed in Civ IV. Along with its foreign diplomacy implications, it would be a great motivator and story for civil war/dark ages (religious rifts amongst your citizens) and golden ages (religious unity and organization.) Greater and mroe realistic control over the attempts to introduce ebb and flow of past games that were rather arbitrary.

The few things we know all sound pretty good to me, so far.

Best feature, hands down: more tactical combat, bye-bye Stack of Doom, I won't miss you a bit!

Worst feature: no more tech-trading. Though I'll want to see how it works out in-game, especially since you can now cooperate research with allies. Maybe not so bad after all...

Best: 1 Unit per Hexagon tile that may be integrated as part of the border non only because of the culture

Worst: 1 leader per civ

Best: Hexagonal tiles, if it can make terrain and movement options more realistic

Worst: No tech trading. This has been a feature of Civ (and let's face it, real life) from the beginning. If every group of ancient people had all had to discover fire independently, and the same for every other technological advance, we would probably still be in the bronze age. We already have the option to disable tech trading if we prefer to play the game without it, so I see no reason why it should be enforced.

Best: one unit per tile, hex tiles

Worst: no tech trading - if this is true although I am sure this is not as it seems. When civilizations meet, they trade technology. Sometimes they trade technologies they've had for hundreds of years. It just wouldn't make sense to remove this feature. I have trouble believing they would do this.

Best feature: hexagonal tiles

One-unit-per-tile sounds pretty amazing too, but it depends how it's implemented. Oh, and quantifiable resources is good too!
- :)

Worst feature: no espionage

No tech-trading also sucks, but I heard there's joint tech-research pacts or something instead; I'd prefer religion to still be there, but didn't care for the Civ IV system - too limited having only seven, and based on tech rather then great people.

Best: combat outside cities.

Worst: resemblance with civ rev. Seriously?? That game is cool for my iphone, to play some minutes when I travel. But I've read the features are exactly the same as in bigger consoles, and that's just lame.

Best: Hexagon tiles, 1 unit / hex. More and better combat strategy, better graphics, no fraking tech trading, that sucky espionage is gone, barbarians will be interesting, city states, forming alliances will probably much more important with the new military system etc etc etc :)

Worst: I would have loved to see an advanced religion in the game rather than abolish it.

Best: Overall, one-unit-per-tile, but I think everything's great - hexes, tech cooperation instead of tech trading, new border expansion system, new social policies tree...

Worst: NOTHING! I seem to be very lucky in that everything Firaxis has done with Civ V I support, everyone else seems to have at least one thing that annoys them about it. Even Firaxis decisions which are otherwise unpopular or controversial I like, like the return to 1 leader per civ and abolition of distinct religions.
