Best open strategy?

I allways build monument-scout-worker and when maybe a wonder. I dont build a setler in the start becouse Liberty offers me that before the last pach i often took stonehenge but now i take temple of Heoccarnasus. I allmost allways take my policy Liberty-Collective Rule-Citizenship-Meritocracy-Representation-Republic.

What is your open strategy?

Scout earlier than monument - it allows grabbing some more ruins and more gold from city-state. Probably even 2 Scouts, depending on map settings and position revealed so far.
No early wonders on high difficulty levels.
A lot of things depend on civ. I.e. - Jaguars instead of Scouts no Monty, no Liberty on Ghandi, etc.

In my standard games, it's:

scout-monument-worker

going down honor policy tree.

tech usually goes: animal husbandry-resource tech-resource tech

I assure you that it's pretty solid. =)
