Oh man how i love ST a final unity. I dont know why but I absolutly love that game.

SPOILER ALERT:

Me and my bro like playing those games together when we have the chance, so in the final phase we couldn't decide what to do when the panel came up. So we closed the panel so we could save, OOOPS, we just won the game :lol::lol:

The longest journey

I actually have ST Final Unity on cd. But I've never seen to be able to get it working. It's a shame as I would have liked to play it.

You probably have the same problems i had. Its cause we are trying to run an old DOS game in windows. I 'just' managed to get it to work on my old PC but it was about as close to being DOS as you can get. My new PC just crashes the game.

I think you will have had trouble installing it? If so copy the install.exe from the CD and edits it options so it wont detect windows. Install and doo the same to sttng.exe. Thats what i did ;)

Well knowing how much Star Trek hates messing with God Like powers I deduced that myself ;)

I don't bother me to play games like these. What where they called now again?

Doesn't appeal me one bit, they are too boring and not made for a gamer like me.

Grim Fandango, The Dig and Day of Tentacle. Then the monkey island saga. Actually all the lucasArts have my choice! Played them all. Maybe full throttle was a bit disappointing because it was easy. Sam n Max was too illogical in the puzzles. You could argue DOTT too (time travelling toilets :)) but well at least they are sensible. Not in S&M (sam and max eh, not sado mas...)

Kyrandia, and KQ (king's quest) series are fine, but more for adults. Same for Spycraft.

Did anyone ever hear about Quest for Glory? The fourth one is the best point and click game of all times!!! :)

OK, I admit that it's not as funny as DOTT, Monkey Island (I & II are the best ones) nor Kyrandia, but it's an excelent game.

Grim Fandango (sp), a good game indeed, but I still didn't bought it, never liked adventure games;
at my financial situation more like a waste of money.

Grim Fandango has such a great sense of humour - much more subtle that the MI series.

Puzzles are hard but logical.

It kept my wife busy for months.....

Day of the Tentacle! :)

LOOM is great! Even better in VGA. ;) :yeah:
I just love the music of Swan Lake (?) in that game. But the storyline and difficulty is a little too easy.

Monkey Island 1 is probably the most complete of these games, funny, fun, great graphics, nice puzzles and VERY enjoyable. Nr. 2 was a bit too confused for my liking, but the ending is GREAT! :)

The funniest is probably Zak McKraken and it´s quite challenging, too. Biggest difficulty is to stop laughing long enough to solve the puzzles!!! :mischief:

Indiana Jones 3: The last Crusade is another very nicely balanced game. I just love it. Indy 4: Fate of Atlantis is in some aspects even better. But I´m probably missing the connection with a movie.

The Leisure Suit Larry series is hilarious and great fun. But you die too easily and quickly when you take a wrong step, just like it is featured in Monkey Island 1. ;)

All in all I must say that they are all great, too bad they don´t make games like these anymore. The newer Monkey Islands or Indys were just plainly disappointing IMO, especially Indy, trying to convert it into a Lara Croft character.

Lucasarts needs to go back to it´s Lucasfilm roots, that would be wonderful.
:D

I liked Where in Time is Carmen Sandeigo! :D

Hard though. Took me 1 1/2 years to finish!
