Best RPG games?

I'm looking for RPG games similar to KOTOR. I already know about Oblivion, Elder Scrolls and such.

Anything else along those lines?

The last one isnt from BioWare and if you dig the World of Darkness setting, I'd strongly recommend it. Mass Effect 1 and 2 are also awesome. I just finished Mass Effect 2 and damn it's awesome!!

The animations make it look but otherwise it's an awesome game (but only with unofficial patches). However it's not similar to KOtOR at all.
The only game I've seen where dance animations don't look completely ridiculous is Mass Effect 2.

The only good games somewhat similar to KOtOR I can thnk of are JAde Empire and Dragon Age.
I'd first play Jade Empire. It's quite a short game for an RPG but very entertaining. Also has a very interesting non-standard fantasy setting.

Icewind Dale is crap, nothing like Baldurs Gate. Its more like neverwinter Nights.
So in this vein, I would say Prince of Qin has an interesting setting and is very unique. Tolerate it's bad translation.

I wouldn't say IWD was crap. Sure, it was no BG, but then very very little is, and it was still a fun game. The sequel was bad though....

And seeing as you mentioned NWN, well, yeah, that was crap. Some great mods around for it, but the official campaign was awful.

They aren't similar to KoTOR at all, but neither is The Witcher. I would also recommend Risen, but if you can't run the Witcher, then Risen is out as well.

But many of the games suggested thus far will run, as a number of them are from the late 90s or early 2000s.
