I've played civ2 since it was released (and the first civ game before that) but i've only played multiplayer games a handful of times. I was wondering wich scenarios (official or fanmade) that suite a multiplayer game best? We're only two players playing currently, so any tip on a scenario wich would give a fair/interesting game for two is welcome! ...and perhaps some comment on wich civs to play in the scenario and such info.

We've already tried the WWII scenario that comes with the original game and we're planning to give the Civil War (from the first scenario expansion) a shot. We're playing by mail so it doesn't really matter if it's a time-consuming scenario. Any suggestions?

I agree with Catfish, but will suggest Kull's "Ancient Empires" (aka "Seeds of Greatness" scenario. It is one of the few I've seen that starts in 4000BC. It is good if you like a slow start with ancient units, like regular Civ2, and it has some nice events built in. All 7 civs are quite playable.
