Best Score on Emporer Level (without cheating!)

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what your highest score on emperor level is WITHOUT CHEATING. Mine is 169%, conquering the world in 80AD (I never bother to try and win the space race, why bother when its so easy to just destroy all opposition?), just wondering how that rates compared to you civI vetrans (oh, this is like my 5th time playing civ, 1st at emperor level.) Also, how do you use a cheat to play a higher level, I saw it mentioned somewhere on this forum, but cant seem to find it now.

My best on emperor is 270%, but I'm sure it would have gone higher if the game had not prematurely ended (due to excessive bugs towards the end). I've broken the 400% mark playing on Emperor+2.

How do you think I got addicted? Shortly after we married and she moved here from the U.S., we saw a CivI game in a shop. I'd never seen it before. She explained that she used to be addicted. We bought it for £10. She regained her drug and I tried it too and became addicted in turn! I moved onto CivII as well, but she has stayed resolutely on CivI only.

And no. She's not registered at CFC.

Must have been in the 270's and in 2020, launching the spaceship in 2007 IIRC. Never managed to get higher because of the pollution bug.

My record is 402%, where I cut off research after future tech 74 and built mass transits and recycling centers in all cities to avoid pollution from the pollution bug. My spaceship landed in 1970 or so.

299%, which was just last year IIRC, I went with the space race and a super empire and 74 future techs, I still couldn't completely manage to control pollution though.

...I think it was 242%... I have no idea what year the game was in. I got this score about 8 or 10? years ago, mayby more?
