[Vanilla] Best Vanilla civ

Before I get to the overall poll, I wanna know which civ in the vanilla edition is the best to play as.

So far, I've played as Egypt, America, China, Arabia, Russia, and Brazil.

I got my first victory (a religious one) with Arabia, but I was playing on a duel map with the Incas.

I would have to go for China just because of the wonders. I am a wonder freak and they get their ability earlier so you can just build from there. But, I also love Arabia and I can't place my finger on it but it just has to do with how different they are and the combination of faith and science is really cool to me I guess. I have also enjoyed Scythia, Sumer and Greece (Pericles).

Golden Age Monumentalism pushes Russia easily to the top if they have ample tundra.

Also Aztec is vanilla as well right? They are up there with Russia. The ability to burn builder charges in making districts along with golden age Monumentalism is also very strong.

Yes, I would have voted Aztec but if the choice is only the above I choose Pericles, however he was weaker in vanilla.

The Aztecs were originally a preorder DLC, so I put them in the DLC poll

Greece Pericles. Still my fastest cultural victory time. Rome is extremely strong in vanilla and R&F, not as much in GS (though culturally still strong with Pingala). Russia may be overall faster, but only with religious victory, which I don't like. I can still get a faster cultural victory with Pericles over Peter.

With the old Magnus chops Russia has the best early game economy. It's kinda insane how many archers you can spam with Russia and archers snowball in mass.
