Betrayel at Krondor and windows XP!

That was my first game i ever played.

Today i was looking through my old cds and saw it, i installed it and tryed to play it but it doesn't work. The compatibility doesn't work either.
Any fix to that?

I've read that some people have had success using DOSbox, but I haven't tried it myself.

I'm having similar problems with some old windows games (Risk) so I'd be very interested if anyone knows anything about integrating old windows programs with XP.
