This line made my morning...not even sure why lol. Makes me think of the age of CIV 4..my 14 year old was like 3 or so. I'd say modding does a necro on Civ.There's no problem doing a necro on a modding thread.....

Civ 4 is "only" about 7 and a half years old. This line made my morning...not even sure why lol. Makes me think of the age of CIV 4..my 14 year old was like 3 or so. I'd say modding does a necro on Civ.![]()
..true math was off at 7am that dayCiv 4 is "only" 8 years old.
Just an update for those that follow this thread. A new version of BAT was released the other day, and I am in the process of merging it with a new release of Better BAT AI.
Look for version 2.0. It should be released in the near future.
To correct myself, there will be no further work on Better BAT AI. There is already a similar version called MMod, made by Mattygerst, which encompasses most of BAT with karadoc's K-Mod.
Due to the popularity and superior quality of K-Mod, I see no point in making another version of Better BAT AI, since it can't compete with MMod. I had thought about making a merge of BAT and K-Mod, but that has obviously already been done.
Sorry to disappoint the fans of BBATAI, but I can put the time I would waste into another improved version of BAT.
C'est la vie.
Well, that's reasonable, i'm a big fan of Karadoc's work, just hope MMod will be updated with BAT 4.1 soon.
You might try prodding Mattygerst.![]()
Holy Ninja, Lemon went stealth mode on her B-Day. All Hail Lemon Ninja!
What does the 50 Civ DLL do?
I downloaded it after I installed Better Bat, and I replaced the correct .dll under the assets folder under, but it didn't seem to change anything.
I thought it introduced a bunch of new civ's to play in the mod, the its just the usual suspects.

I respect your decision on where you want to focus your efforts, but I hope that you will change your mind and at some point go ahead and update BBATAI.
I'm a fan of the unaltered gameplay, and this was the perfect mod for someone who wanted to play the same game with updated graphics and a smarter AI.
Ahh gnome, ye be but a lone voice in the wilderness, but I'll tell you what. I love BBATAI myself and enjoy playing it, but it really cries out for the new BAT version. I'm making a version of it for myself, when I can find the time. Perhaps I can release it after all.
That would be marvelous.
As it happens I'm trying out MMod anyway just to see, and already there are things I miss from BBAI.
I bet I'm not actually the only one!
Thank you for responding!
Well, I had best get to it then, shouldn't I? I can't leave a man without his wubby. But I kinda want my wubby back.
Ok tried K-Mod w/ Blue Marble tiles, not sure what's meant about it's superior quality and popularity. Running & screaming fast as I can back to Better Bat AI ver.1.0. L.M. please never suggest we stray again. Ah yes it's those little things like "Lemon's Handy Hints" that just give BBAI that oh so warm and fuzzy feeling.
