Beyond the Sword...how much RAM can it use?

I've seen a few thread mentioning this, but never fully explained.

Can Beyond the Sword (or indeed RoM: A New Dawn) only utilise a certain amount of RAM?

I was well dissapointed that the game doesn't seem dramatically faster on my WIN7 X64 with 8GB of RAM.

BTS is still single-core, but can access a full 4 GB of RAM., so you will get less Out-of-Memory errors, etc.

The reason for the 4GiB limit is because it's a 32bit App. Those can address a maximum of 2^32, which turns out to be 4GiB
