Just for fun, I decided to see how big I could make a city. As luck would have it, I started out on a large island, away from the harrassment of other civs. Other than some maintenence and upkeep, i pretty much just sent food caravans to the city i had chosen to concentrate on. That city itself i had building wonders; I think it ended up with 11. I explored some and set up other cities off of the island, but pretty much ignored the game itself. I got the Big City up to 127 before it collapsed. ("Population decrease in Athens", new size: -128). I had never seen a city with a negative population before. Anyway, has anyone else tried this? What's the biggest city you've built?

wow!!! how many food caravans did it take to reach size 128?

I think the max size is 128 (not very surprising), the max number of cities is 256, and the max # of units you can build is ???? (is there a limit?)

well you can probably find out the limit of units by building as many fanatics as you can (then just for fun Rush them all at an enemy!)

. Enough to liberate the world!
. Every now and then when I am using democracy and am short of NONE units. I, run down the treasury, leave a vacant city within reach of one barb unit, with a counter attack force (NONE units or base at other cites) nearby, and thus recruit a horde of NONE partisans at the cost of two population and some city improvments.

I've hit the max when each of 7 players has between 300 and 600 units each.mIs that bad? YES! No barbarians or special units are made.
