Elysium and RC already have Harbors, but we need Banks as Civ1 and others have pointed out. Elysium Shakespeare won't need a Colosseum, but RC will. We are currently favoring those 2, plus Civvium Reneaux Marl.Downs and Neuma.

And we could build Statue of Liberty, Darwin and Eiffel Tower. The Indians, Russians and Spanish are all researching Physics, Persians Steam.Engine, so we have time for Darwin. I'd like to save Darwin to jump from Industrialization, which causes Pollution to rear its ugly head, to Mass Transit. No others know of Democracy, so we also have time for Statue of Liberty. That will prove useful for war, or if we goof and our government collapses. It is essential that Jayne check F4 each turn the cities that are in disorder, to fix them. Now Skara Salzburg Hamburg.

This poll is fine tuning, based upon already clear results of the discussion and Bach Democracy Poll. Jayne moves early Wednesday morning.

I think the favoured cities are enough for now, we need engineers and vans like crazy!
Also I voted to construct both Darwin and Statue, Darwin for 2 free techs and Statue for switching government fast when the government collapses!

Civ1, you turkey! The tough choice is to pick ONE wonder. I voted for Statue of Liberty, and I see the vote is moving toward playing only a few turns so we can all see the New Democractic Government. :) That will make many of the people of NUF happy, myself included.

Remember, Routskilde is our fantastic investment in a 4Special Spot. Since we did that, let's favor it. In Routskilde, they are going to be thrilled that we are in Democracy. Dancing in the streets. New Market. Build us an Ironclad for new glory. Woo hoo! Jefferson Starship Spitfire just came on! Hear it?

My Foreign Advisor sense tells me that we should let Eiffel build his tower. Frankly, our repuation is crap, and we need all the help we can get.

Despite that tingling feeling, I vote for the Statue of Liberty. You never know when your government may collaspe, so the fewer turns in anarchy, the better.

Maybe play 3-4 turns so we can plan new Democracy? (R)

I'm disappointed people only want me to play 3 turns after Civ-1 and others have put in so much work preparing me for 10. Maybe we should play the the other 7 on Thursday or Friday after a quick discussion on Wednesday on how we are doing.

Jayne, nice that you are back! :) I know you always check F4, but I wanted to stress it for these trying times. I believe the problem is hopeless when we build new cities, otherwise the EndTurn should go smoothly.

Regarding playing more turns, I'm very keen on the Celebrations. That is how our productivity is exploding without Pyramids and Granaries. The Revolution itself will kill the Celebrations, they will all need to restart. That's why I set the poll to 3-4 turns. You could get into Democracy, fix everything back up to normal 20,30,50% and play another turn. That will restart the Celebrations. You might start quite a few. You've always done very well promoting growth, and I expect the Democracy to give new life to our empire. Please sustain the favored cities (all but Marl Downs iirc), So play on a few turns, but not too far, because the Celebration landscape and opportunities will surely expand. Uppsala, Routskilde, Antioch to name a few. Implement continuous IPRB as noted, and feel free to PRB in favored cities; perhaps Marl Downs will make sense at some point as you play.

Regarding the detailed plan, much of it is already posted. There is an Expense Summary in Bach Democ poll, and the Engineer Plan is in Rail & Misc poll. Caravans were posted Thr 16 January in Turn 1660AD, plus the original Critical Changes (critical because we lost the glow of the Hanging Gardens). We are awaiting funxus' War Plan -- many pieces of it are already posted. Later on today, I'll put together a plan for the odds and ends, immediate, and after one or more turns.

Ok - If there's no objections I'll play to the beginning of the first turn after Democracy. Anyone who wants to comment can do, then I'll continue on Thursday morning after we've been to our Baby Music class.
