1. I have fundamentalism, which is the best government ever, and like 20 cities, I was doing great, and had like around 30-47 productions in each of my cities, and after 2200, all a sudden all of them began to have food sortages, I had to make like 5 cities constantly produce tirmes to keep my cities alive. Why did this start happening? Does this has something to do with me nuking too much?

2. why did the game end at 2020A.D. ? I didn't kill any civ. and I didn't lauch the space shuttle yet, so how did I win the game? I thought in ToT you were suppose to go to Alpha centari and fight aliens.

3. Why do my units skip turns? sometimes I have to wait like 5 turns to be able to command my engineers agian, it happens to other units too.

Point by point:

1.) Your point about fundamentalism is debatable; a good power democracy or even a communist state will whip a fundy the vast majority of the time. 20 cities is fairly small, and 30-47 production is fairly small. Food shortages could occur because of non developed land, or more likely pollution/global warming.

If you do nuke a lot, and don't clean up, there will be global warming, and literally the world will become a mess. Go easy on the nukes, unless they are part of a specific strategy.

Don't know what you are referring to by "tirmes", however...

2.) The game ends at a specific time if you do not win otherwise through conquest or spaceship. You did not win, the game just finished. Keep this in mind, and try to make a move earlier:p

3.) Not quite sure what that could be, but sometimes, after an engineer has finished a job, you can't get him until the next turn.

1.Most likely yes.Nuking causes radioactive pollution.Too much Pollution causes Global Warming.GW causes the terrains to change.Rich food producing grassland can become swamp and jungle. Therefore,a square that was producing good amounts of food will suddenly be a desolate bayou.
any time 9 squares are polluted, you risk GW.Could happen. Not definite.

2.2020..thats the end.You can play on but no more score will be recorded.ToT does have an extended game iirc.I think you need to select it when setting up the game. Not sure though.

3.Are you sure the engineer is finished the job?..different tasks require differing amounts of turns.
Did you sentry or sleep them?..by pressing S
always play with "wait at end of turn" enabled.

In my opinion, Democracy is good for developing technology, and after you get all the tech, it's only use is resistence against spies, also, you have to have a lot of happy wonders and at least 20%
luxuries to keep citizens happy, and most of the times, you can't not sign a peace treaty, the stupid senates always overrule when I say no, and the civ whose pleading for peace had like one city left. I wish the damn senate would stop bothering me until I wipe them off of the map. It's very annoying when you are trying to kill of a civ.

Fundamentalism, on the other hand, gives you 20X times as much money as democracy, and your people are always happy, I have 0% luxury, and my people hadn't complained once. And I can declare war on who the heck ever I want, nobody stops me.But as soon as I switch to Demo, almost every city revolted, and if it weren't for me switching to fundamentalism so quickly, my whole civilization would of been destroyed.

You said it yourself: Democracy = increased tech. Add more trade, more happy citizens (scoring purposes), and the right balance of Wonders, and you have a power democracy. 80-100 cities, happiness wonders, Women's Suffrage and the UN to help with war, and a democracy will whip a fundy any day. I've had income of about 25000 shields a turn in democracy, so I doubt that fundy could get 20 times that. You have to alter your style a little, but it becomes unbeatable if used according to the correct formula.

If playing the AI, they most often go fundy, build a lot of units and waste them. A power democracy builds a few units in each city of the most effective type, and uses them in an intelligent combination. It provides a bit more of a challenge to handle unhappiness.

Fundy is the easy way out.

The Senate's meddlings are easily defeated with the UN, and the Statue of Liberty, which means even if they are really intransigent, just click REVOLUTION, destroy the enemy, and go back to democracy next turn.

Fiddling with luxuries to get the right happiness quotient, and using occasional WLTP days to boost population big time is one of the joys of democracy that you miss out on in fundy.

A lot of fanatics and cavalry aren't going to do well against well positioned mech inf, stealth fighters, spies, several hundred bribed units, a strike corps of 50 armor, and a stealth bomber force.

Also, combing Shakespeare's Theatre with a big production city means that one city can produce 80-100 modern units in fundy style, and still havce all the benefits of democracy.

Playing a power democracy means you have to master one turn wars, but they are the most fun of all:D

Please consider, fundy grasshopper.

When playing democracy, just try and keep a spotless reputation and just refuse to meet rival emissaries. Tada! No Senate meddling. Of course, if your reputation is less than Spotless, the Senate will make you meet the emissary. I could be wrong, though... that's just what I read in the strategy guide.
