Post the Biggest territory that you have ruled over. How many civilizations did you have to wipe out in order for you to rule over such a vast territory?

Please feel free to post pics in your posts.

well i think my biggests is probably happening right now. Im playing on Rhye's Earth Map 180x180 v1.5.biq, and right now i think i have 40% of the world. and its forever growing. why? because i turned off all victory conditions other than domination by mistake :(

the game itself didnt start off too well because germany had early attacked me (im celts) but i managed to end that first war with 3 cities lost, 4 gained (ie my 3 regained). i had the whole area of france and italy, and 2 cities on the UK. germany being slightly bigger than me still. Germany was my enermy all game long and i had to hit him back, which i did in great "style" later.

After making rather large settlements in Africa i became strong and took out the arabs with cavalry who was stuck with spearmen still.

from this point on i switched to fascism and drafted for about 20 turns (once every other turn) to make a large defence/resisitance queling force.

To beat the germans who was still strong, although not THAT good i made a plan called my market garden. and im supprise how well it worked! but then the cities in the middle wasnt defended as well as the outer ones.

Bombers redlined (or killed) all defenders and killed the rails (but not the roads) so i could land paras on hills and not have every tank in germany killing them the Paras took the cities, cutting the germans in half and stopping them supplying the front against the mongols.

This plan also greatly helped the cutting down of the rest of the forces, because the defenders of the front line cities came out to retake the 3 cities i had taken (but not yet reinforced) but my bombers killed/redlined ALL of them. From that point on its been a unstoppable steam roll, and its become a tad boring (hence i been playing this game for about 3 months on off).

The indians have since "fallen off" the map, and im just waiting on cleaning my new extention of celt land up before i start another war. Although MPP might cause issues, as inca just declared war on america, and i cant get over there too easy. plus land based bombers are stuck, although i do have 10cvs....

How did i make it so easy. Well i made them all poor. I made the best of science advantage, which was why i was weak and picked on early in the game, to make MASSIVE GPT, which made everyone poor, keeping there armies small, and old. Hell, later in the game i started GIVING Korea 400gpt just to help them against the mongols and Japan! lol and it seems to be working. only problem is when i fight them! :goodjob:

Enough of my chatting ;):crazyeye:

Land owned now:

Whole of india (arrowed) and the ottomans, plus most of austrialia now mine ;)

LOL, this is gigantic... :)

I usually end up in domination before getting a conquest victory, but 66% of a huge map is not shabby either. :)

I hope more people can post there achievements...good territory Overlag.

by the way try and keep the pics relativley small.

Here's a pic of my current emperor game at 1390AD, 200 tiles from the domination limit, will hit controlled domination next turn and start re-settling for a milk run :)

Please could you send me that map?

Overlag, one question: when you end your turn, how long does it take before it's your turn again?

Probably been playing it for about 3 weeks, it will take about another 2 weeks to complete. You can follow the progress of the game here.

2minutes normaly about 5 if a war starts. its about 5 minutes now, since everyone is at war.

By the looks of how im doing on this game, i need to move up a level, but when i do that i cant get to the AD's:(

 So... much... orange!

I generally give up after I have obtain the definite lead in the game. The game just becomes so huge and so difficual to manage by that point that I have no patience to do that kind of work. They should really come up with something that will make the game easier to handle at the end game.

Mine is nowhere near Fret's game.

So, fret. Just out of curiosity: How many cities do you have total? And what's your total shield production per turn? And finally, how long does it take to take a turn?

Estimated number of cities is 425-475.

Dont know what sheild production is, I'm away frmo my Civ PC at he moment so cant check.

As for the turn length, for about the last 15 turns which have been mass war against the Japanese and the Koreans they are probably lasting about 2 hours average.

There was 1 turn, about 1340ADish, where I was 'clearing up' the other minor civs while just starting the major wars against the Japanese and Koreans took 4 days, playing(and thinking) time about 7 hours total, for a single turn - lots of strategic thinking going on!

It isnt so much the war that takes the time, its the 500+ (not automated!) workers :)

How is something like that manageable? That's insane.

Insane yes :)

But also necessary if you want to get a score worthy of the Hall of Fame :)

Wow! And I got fed up with mine when I only had 75 of them! But then, that was on a standard map, and my continent was almost all worked anyway, so I figured I wouldn't lose much production by just automating all of them.
