Biggest territory ever!

that is massive:eek:

I just couldn't see myself managing a huge war like that, and that early! 1390 AD? You're kidding me! How do you do that???

Rapid early expantion with a settler flood and then a strong focus on military conquest , foregoing all esle.

There are much better examples of fast starts around. Some people will be at that stage of the game I am in like 1200 and earlier, at lower levels the game is often all but completed way before 1000AD. Download some of the games from the HOF and watch the replay's. If your impressed by that picture you'll be amazed at some of them, some of them also contain 10AD saves so you can look at them and check up on how your early game compares, who knows it may even tempt you to try your luck :)

I still don't know if I could do that. I'm too afraid of war due to my bad luck with it...

Heh... well, I'm not tempted to do something like that... After the point you're at now, it would become way too boring for me.

I would actually be thrilled if I could pull off something like in fret's screenie. I wouldn't exactly call it 'boring'...

I'd be thrilled to get to that point too, but then I'd just take the last of the area that I need to get Domination, or destroy the other two civs to get Conquest. There's no way I could spend over 300 turns just milking the game for points.

Sice you mention it, Ive come up against considerable stiffer opposition than I expected with the Koreans :(

I can understand your point of view there Bilko, milking isnt everybody's cup of tea. I enjoy it though, in a well played milk game you go through several distinct stages where objectives and stratagy's change as you leave and enter each phase, to do it well requires lots of early game planning, you get a late game builder rush phase, there are stages of the game you dont get in any other type of game, like the re-sellement phase, in many ways I find it more interesting :)
