My wife and I are new to Conquests. While playing the Intro #3 conquest scenario, she saw an enemy town with a silver skull and circling vultures. Late she saw some message about Black Death.

Obviously, it's not good, but how does it occur, what does it do, and how do you cope/fix/deal with it? Any particulars would be appreciated.

I think it kills units and/or citizens. Walls make it worse. Being apart of a trade network helps spread it. However, the couple times I've gotten this in the middle ages conquest nothing has happened.

I built workers once and it disappeared almost immediately. Unfortunately reproducibility of this is questionable.

One thing I wanna suggest - A possible intended-infection of a unit to spread to your enemies a few turns in? Maybe its like XX turns before you heal.. try and exploit it! :D

well... I've had it twice i think... the it warns you not to move your units to uninfected towns...

oh well... who cares... atleast it makes the game more interesting :P

i tend to egnore it- may lose a few pop, perhaps a few units- but it goes away soon enough.

Then again i have only ever had it happen to perifary towns- not my major citys

haha... I had Black Plague in Rome for 2 turns... then i disappeared and it didn't even spread :P

Imho the city should be isolated. Moving units in or out just helps to spread the disease. Even without unit movement it can spread along roads. Just wait a few rounds and the city will calm down.

Nice idea: Exporting the black death with units to the next enemy. :D Any experiences with that tactic?
