Blackened Terrain

I am running Civ 4 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop with the following characteristics:


3.07 GHz Pentium 4
1 Gb RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP (128MB)

I have installed the latest version of the Civ 4 patch (1.61)

I have SP 2

I can't really think of anything else besides this happened when I installed the new Civ 4 patch. When I scroll up near the northern parts of the map, the screen turns all the land tiles black, and then when I scroll down, it turns them normal again. This allows me to play the game, but its really annoying.

I suspect it's doing that because the graphic can't fully support hardware TnL. It's displaying correctly at times but I think the game is just pushing the IGP over the edge. I can only say try playing with the lowest graphic settings possible and see if it improves at all.

It does it, no matter what graphic settings I have on it.

I fixed it, used Omega Drivers.....
