Ok, it`s just another "Woa, my starting position is leet!!!11"

But is IS really a nice island. Funny thing, two gems, the gold and one iron popped during the game.

No rose without thorns though, the fact that the cities have to be so tight together, each shaft mine belongs to two cities and is worth two unhappy faces.

Not the gold-mine.

You also might consider updating the Redcoats as there can always be a fleet trying to invade. Would be a pity losing the capital to a amphibious landing attempt by +10 (older) units or something like that.

Zorn: it is hard to believe it is not a World Builder. I have NEVER seen so many resources. They are almost in every tile.....Not to mention over 160K of gold.

What version do you play? Level of difficulty?

And what kind of map is that. I like it, since it have great majority of land mass.

That was plain 1.8, without any patches or modmods.
Diff emperor, map huge ROM_RandomScriptMap.
My gold income was absurd in the end - as you can see, I was earning over 500 per turn at 5% tax level. I had 4 or 5 shrines though, that helped.

The capitol wasn`t really in danger, I think - the AI allways attacks at the borders, I don`t believe it is capable of a surgical strike at my core. I was twice as powerful as the next player and won by culture 10 turns later anyway.

No, with BtS the AI will use ships to attack the weakest coastal city. I was lucky to intercept a huge amada (they were Spanish) heading for my main cities. Still some got through and it was tight for a few turns:)

Oh, yes. AI is no longer stupid as it was i.e. in CIV II..... It can recognize your
weakest points at strike as a hurricane. Lately (I mean RoM 2.81 + ND 1.53) even
barbs are acting wisely. No more suicide attakcs and crashing heads against our walls.
AI can choose the target, and is really pain in the ...... sometimes. Which is of course a good thing for our playing fun.

I'm still surpised about the resources..... And 1.8? You mean RoM 1.8? When was that? It seems like it is not even old. It's prehistoric :)

BTW - can I find a guide for RoM maps? I never know which one to choose.....
