Blue Game 1 - Game in progress

I'm still Monty. Does this mean I have to be a Jerk to all of you?

Don't mean to hijack the thread here, but I am just curious as to how long a game like this takes. Do these games last years, with a single turn (for all players) taking more than a week to complete? What are the advantages to playing like this? Do you folks also play marathon session in other types of MP games or perhaps SP? I tend to not be able to stop (just one more turn, for sure!) when i play SP, and it seems like it would be difficult to keep focus on the game if my turns came once per week.

Again, sorry to interrupt, but blue seems patient, so I thought asking here might work out.

In Civ III, I sae one scenario that was practically over in a couple months. I won one that took about 4 months or so...

Turn speed depends on the players. I've seen games where I get the turn one night, play it the next day, send it that night, and it's back the next night. Other games you're lucky to see one per week...

not so much patient, as dissapointed, frustrated and resigned that this just doesn't seem to work.

Like you, when SirMasterBlue and I play simultaneous turns, we tend to play for days on end until we fall asleep at the ouse. I had hopes that everyone would play once a day or occassionally take two days and this might work, but it just doesn't seem to work that way.

ok, heard from wrangler, apparently nutcracker's email addy is invalid, so nutcracker, if your reading this, please let us know where to send your save.

I'm still pretty new at this, but it seems to work better with only a few human players. With each new human it just takes longer to get through a turn and the chances of getting stuck increase.
