I already have some of these in place, however with new cultures and new wonders being made all the time I need to keep track of what culture is boosting what wonders. Note that all production is boosted by 50%.

Note that guild, corporation, etc wonders were left off the list. These are the main wonders that are linked to historical buildings.

If I missed any or you think a wonder should have another or additional culture let me know.

I am in general opposed to this concept. It's a bad idea in the same way that tying religions to cultures is a bad idea. Part of the fun of C2C is that you can make really ahistorical civs. Tying wonders to cultures inhibits that significantly. The fun in civ is that you get to say "what if the Khmers founded Christianity, acquired Mongolian culture, and built a whole bunch of historically European wonders". Or, as The Song says "you can even make Jewish Nazis"

Could you please reconsider this Hydro?:please:

I have to agree with ls612.
The what if nature of playing different cultures with different results is what civ is about.
Wonders should be at least somewhat un-tied from cultures.
All cultures should be able to build any wonder.
Maybe the argument should be that could be a bonus for the actual culture that built a specific wonder. This would encourage history to follow a similar path. But it could be fun to play against that grain also. Maybe it should be a weighted option. A slider for increase of realism/likely-hood?

If I get it correctly, this is only a production bonus for the culture, not a restriction that only a specific culture can build a wonder.

Then it is a little more likely that a culture builds the same wonders. I understand the concept then.
I still like the idea of a realism tied slider, that could increase the rate that cultures build the actual wonders that they actually did.

It has been this way for awhile. All it gives is 50% faster production of a wonder if you have the original culture's culture wonder. Thus if you built Culture (French) then you can build the Eiffel Tower 50% faster than everyone else.

Note that everyone else can still build the Eiffel Tower. Its just you can build it faster. Which make sense since its the home culture. This means that civs with a particular culture wonder are more likely to build the wonders related to their culture.

Note that the civilization you pick in no way influences this. Thus if I play as France I cannot build the Eiffel Tower any faster than any other civilization.

Note sure why is is an issue. This has been in play from nearly the beginning of me introducing culture wonders. All I did is add new wonders to the list (ex. Las Vegas Strip, Disneyland, etc).

That would make it a near certainty, assuming you aren't atrociously behind in the tech race, that if you have the French culture you would build the Eifel Tower. Perhaps the bonis could be scaled back, say to 10-20%, that might be different, but as it stands now my concern is still valid.

I am not 100% sure but I think you may have to have the Eiffel Tower and Culture (French) in the same city. Note the bonus is on the Wonder and not the French resource that is given for free from the French Wonder.

So with limited wonders checked off you would have to make sure your city could even have room for another great wonder in it.

I like the concept like it is now the 50 % bonus is cool. i want the cultures to built a specific wonder even more , and at least the 50 % production bonus just count for the city the culture is build i thinkhttp://forums.civfanatics.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=11341588, and if the city is just a small outpost that have the needed recource than its not very implausible that a high industrial foreign city builds it faster :goodjob:

It's fine as it is, the bonus that the culture gives is only a % bonus to build a particular wonder in the city that built the culture, it's not as if you can't build that wonder without the culture.

In my current single player game I just had a small city build French culture which took gawd knows how many turns, trust me when the Eiffel Tower becomes available to build I will NOT be building it in that city regardless of the % build bonus, because I'll be able to get the wonder built much faster and get better benefits from it by building it in one of my large central cities, rather than some piddling small distant outpost that I settled because I wanted to make use of the wine resource.

In most cases I have found that the culture % build bonus for wonders has little impact on gameplay, simply because I send out settlers to found cities near new resources, they will also build any culture that those resources provide - but the idea of building a wonder in some tiny satellite settlement is a bit nuts - 200 turns in that city, even with the %bonus, or 10 turns in one of my large central cities without the bonus - no contest.

OK, OK, my bad, I thought this was making the Culture Resource in a city give a bonus, as opposed to only the Wonder, which is probably not too restrictive.
