Tired of all those foreign settlers crossing your borders without permission to create barely-viable villages in the gaps left between your own cities?

Can't afford to build enough military units, even Warriors, to totally block off that border?

Looking for some way to stop this infestation?

Well, here's a solution for Expansionist civilizations: Build many cheap Scout units and use them as sentries and border patrols.

Later-stage civilizations can do the same with Explorers.

Granted, these cheap units won't prevent an actual military attack by another Civ that's willing to go to war with you. But they will block an invasion of foreign settlers, at a lower cost than military units. :goodjob:

For me the AI never tries to build cities within my boarders so this is not a big problem.

No but they will sneak through your borders to get to that one square of land that isn't in your borders and build a city on it.

The best way to keep other civ's settlers away is to say no to all right of passage treatys or demand so high price that you will get something good for the pain. And if they build city so that it will take so territory from you, wait until the city goes revolting and captured it. Or you just might attack capture the city what is teasing you, raze it and continue attacking to other citys. You get two flies at one hit sometime even scares other civ's and they try to avoid you.
