I don't know if anyone has experienced this - but when one civ is at war with another and you are in the middle of the two civs. They send large hoards of soldiers trekking across your land and the only choice you have is to tell them to get off your land or declare war (after the first few warnings). If you are lucky they move - if not they declare war on you and they have these large armies already poised for attack. If you do decide to tell them immediately after they enter your land and they are still a few blocks away from the closest city and they agree to move themselves - the very next round they are back - as if they did not hear you the first time.
Is there something they can add (in the next patch) to allow only certain points of entry (when at peace) - like border posts/gates - so that you can prevent them from entering unless they pay a fee of something to gain access to you land ,and only allow random access when you are at war

yeah in one of my games the incans sent across about fifty crusaders to capture 2 byzantine cites that i onwned by the time they got there:)

If there is no viable route through you land they wont bother. When this happens to me and I have enough surplus units I wll block their route at the most favorable choke points. These choke points can be very far from their present entry point, it doesn't matter where you block the path as long as there is no viable path.

Yeah, there are two things you can do in this situation:

1. Give an RoP to the civ you like more so they can get through your territory quickly and get their business done. I've also been known to build more roads so they can get around my cities, etc. This is also an effective strategy for encouraging a civ to send its units far from home so that when the twenty-turn RoP is up, you can not renew it, and then declare war on their defensless civ. :D

2. Block your borders with units. Yeah, it's a pain, but it can also be very effective.

Other than ROP sholdn't there be a better way for them to access your territory and maybe pay to do so? Except in War then all borders open. I personally don't like them traversing my land and I do not even trade my world/territory map with any of the AI. I just purchase theirs.

Yeah it's annoying in RL if a nation sends a large army through your territory to attack another nation it usually results in war if you're not allies. In the game you could give em a ROP and charge them for it.
