Disclaimer: the gauntlet is NOT a parallel competition, but an unofficial challenge within the GOTM. The reasons for starting it are (1) increasing competition for those who want it, and (2) making it easier to compare different games and learn.

The rules are simple:
1. Take BOTM-7 CHALLENGER save
2. Play the game according to GOTM rules, and submit it as usual.
3. There will be a chosen VC each time, announced before the game starts. The winner of the gauntlet will be the one who gets the fastest victory of that type.
4. It would be great if everyone could post their saves at say 1000BC and 1AD after the game is over, so that we can compare different games in more detail. I will not make this rule compulsory for the first game, but we'll see later.

The chosen VC for this game is Religious, the only one yet untapped, which should be a toughie under a 10-turn challenger handicap. However, there is plenty of time until Astro. The continents will also make the vic less cheesy.

Good luck!

This time I won't be congratulating the winners, but giving them a piece of mind!

Unfortunately the number of people that is participating in the gauntlets is going down. There is little we can do here. But the second goal should be being fulfilled! Where are the spoilers of the Gauntlet participants? How can we learn if we don't expose our strategies for others to admire/comment on/demolish?

Spoiler :
Congratulations, well done! :goodjob: Your dates are amazing!
Come on, guys, won't you write a little summary for me? :please:

I'm sorry to say I speak English very poor. You can address Lexad with the issue. Sorry again.

Oh, my command of the English languaje isn't nothing special, either.

Maybe you could write your game not with complete sentences, but just highlights... or maybe you could compare our games and tell what you did differently... or maybe just write your write-up in Russian and ask Lexad or someone else to translate it.

Your finish date is impressive and I am very interested in knowing more about it!

EDIT: Wouldn't you speak Spanish or French, by any chance? I'd be a willing translator in that case.

I've just returned from a 2-week vacation. Will rack heaps of workload, start GOTM32 and get ready for my friends' marriage - this'd take about a week. Then I hope I'll find some time to write the long-due spoilers. Sorry for delay.

Results:

1. Jeffa - 760AD
2. Lexad - 1060AD
3. jesusin - 1230AD
4. hhhawk - 1360AD.

Can I say "that's for the Euro", please?
