there is a famous christmas song"stop the cavalry"
lyrics
Spoiler :
Hey, Mr. Churchill comes over hereTo say we're doingsplendidly.
But it's very cold out here in thesnowMarching to and from the enemy.
Oh I say it's
tough, I have had enough,Can you stop the
cavalry?
I have had to fight almost every
night,
Down throughout these centuries.
That is when I
say, oh yes yet again,Can you stop the
cavalry?
Mary Bradley waits at home,In the nuclear fallout zone.
Wish I could be dancing now,In the arms
of the girl I love.

I was at home for Christmas.
Bang goes another bomb on another townWhile the Czar and Jim have tea.
If I get home, live to tell the tale,I'll run for all
presidencies. If I get elected I'll stopI will stop the
cavalry.Dub-i-dub-i-dum-dumDub-i-dub-i-dumDub-i-dum-dum-dub-i-dumDub-i-dub-i-dumDub-i-dub-i-dum-dumDub-i-dub-i-dumDub-i-dum-dum-dub-i-dumDub-i-dub-i-dumWish

now,In the arms of the girl I love.
Mary Bradley waits
at home,She's been waiting two years long.
Wish I was at home for Christmas.

there is something wrong (cronologicaly)with the lyrics.what is it?

I'm not sure what you are asking, I'd go with Mary Bradly and tea with the Tsar. By the time nukes were around the Tsars were overthrown and the royal family dead.

yes you are on the rightlines theres one more

dam copy&paste

The song mentions a "nuclear fall out zone". However, the first atomic bomb ever used was on Japan (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) effectively bringing the pacific theater to a close. By that time, the European theater had-- for the most part--ended, thus it is chronogically inncorrect for this song to mention British soldiers marching in the snow for "Mr. Churchill".

My other theory is that the song is confusing WW1 with WW2, when you consider the mentioning of "cavalry" and "Czsar" in the song.

yes you are right :goodjob:

Churchill was out of office when the atomic bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so he couldn't have stopped the cavalry.

V-E day is May 8, 1945. The bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, respectively.
