Hi Guys. i am new to the forum platform and i am not too familiar with the rules of engagement here. I am unfortunatley a console owner as computers in my country is slightly expensive cannot afford to maintain both platforms. please support the port of CIV6 to the consoles platform i really want to play this game. i was introduced to CIV by Revolution on Xbox 360 and really enjoyed the game

this would destroy the consoles my cpu cranks up into the 50's when i play this and that's with a hydro h100!

Be careful what you wish for. The user interface (some critical elements of which are only a few pixels high and the generally small text in spreadsheet and text layout navigated using tabs), highly busy and cramped nature of the map, significant amounts of micromanagement per turn and lack of streamlining and the apparently huge amounts of processing that needs to happen every turn that can bring a top of the line PC to its knees - may make you post more in these forums and in reddit than you would ever have thought possible.

LOL, you want to play on a 10x10 map ... even the graphics are below average, the need for power is gigantic, when you use 21 civs, 30 Cs and a 120x80 map ... playing atm a 180x100 map and turns are already way too long ( i7-6700k 4.5Gz, GTX 980TI OC, 16GB DDR5 ...etc.)

Civ VI will never be ported to consoles for the most obvious reasons.

Even the Nintendo Switch, the PS4 Pro, and Scorpio would melt if porting Civ VI were attempted.

Let's take StarCraft for example. That game is extremely popular on the computer. However, it was a disaster when ported to the N64.

It's not a good idea. At all.
Civ VI is already a very average game. Adding it on consoles would make it a even worst one...

@God of Kings I seriously doubt the "stylistic" graphics of Civ6, would be the most taxing thing to port to consoles.
It is generally true that "stylistic art direction" makes it easier to port to consoles, but the late game is extremely processor intensive.

Planet Coaster has a stylistic art direction, but is known to fry even top-of-the-line custom-made gaming PCs, especially upon filling up at least 75% of the park's available space.

^ I doubt that is because of the graphical fidelity and more to do with the processor not being able to keep up with the compounded amount of actions being performed late in games.

They have CIV on console. Its called 'Civilization Revolution' and they even made a second one.

I have played 'Civilization Revolution', the first one, and it sucked. AI took forever to proc, limited amount of units to work with, and the game play was fast.

So if the devs ported CIV6 out to consoles it could be bad. Come to think of it I think they put CIV2 on console once and it did terrible with sales. Don't expect a full CIV game on console in the near future.
