I have been looking for games i will be getting with my PS3 when i get it in 2 weeks time or so and this applies to the Xbox360 but i was wondering why Ubisoft (or whoever creates the storylines) made the game about Operation Market Garden, which was a failure. So if the game is historicly accurate you must lose as well which would be rather annoying to complete the game for you to just lose it all together. Don't know quite why they have done this but if anyone has any reasons for why they might of chosen this perticular scenario i would quite like to hear them.

Perhaps they're allowing you to change history. ;)

I hadn't heard that that was the case but possible i guess

I wish they had more missions were you are on the losing side, like in Call of Duty 2 they have the US missions on D-Day with those engineers where you push the germans bakc then you get pushed back, though of coruse you end u pushing them back again and wininng. They could have losing battles where you just fall back to another place. Same thing with that I want to fight as the Germans for a change!

Star Wars Battlefront II has a misson or two like that. On Kashyyyk you drop back and then push forward.

You don't have to 'lose' a campaign in order to win a game. It'll be quite possible to have levels based on holding the line, protecting retreating unit and falling back (the latter was spectacularly done in the second Point d' Hoc level on Call of Duty 2), while still 'losing' the overall game. I would also imagine that the early parts of the game would involve the victorious advances of the first few days, before it became the rather desperate struggle.

Quite agree, or at least have some focus on the war before Stalingrad, though that battle hasn't quite been done to death as the Normandy landings.
