B's cavern - an open planning thread

I totally disagree. Am doing this variant in TGOMTG and the pointy stick method is what caused the tech problem. The constant wars slows the AI's research to almost a standstill.

If you're going to use this variant up the challenge by making the victory condition by space.

here are 2 personal favorite variants i don't think you've mentioned:

barbaric - you may never ever build or acquire a building that generates culture. Barbaric lite lets you build small wonders and keep the ToA if you capture it

opium barons - wars are a function of keeping the peeps happy. The more lux you own, the fewer offensive wars you are permitted to start per age. For example, if you own one lux in the ancient age, you may start 7 wars. If you own all 8 in the MA, you may never start a war. On its own, not a challenge, add a few other restrictions, can be fun.

The idea was practising trading, so no trading would rather be the opposite.

About the sid game, I would be interested...

Allright, nerovats!

Interested in sid

Don't care about play level. If I can get two more, or maybe one more, I'll start it.

Oh yeah, the only requirement is that you have CrpMapStat. That is a miracle tool. At 60% archipelago, I managed to keep up in tech without the GL up to the middle ages because of it's trade watching. I would never have checked diplomacy every turn.

So if you're interested, but don't have it, you can download CrpSuite in the Utility programs forum.

Better than civassist. Civassist, you have to check every turn for updates, and it's confusing. With MapStat, ii pops up and alerts you, and easily allows you to plan trades.

Civassist can do that too, popup on new event, like riot next turn, new tech to buy...

I don´t like open SG´s cause there´s no planning. On Sid that make it rather imposible imho.

I'm interested in the AWM 5CC or the Crowded AW game.

Mathias: no one else has contacted me with interest for those games. :undecide:

I can't start any games at the moment though.

I'd have contacted you if I weren't in the same situation :shakehead

Radio silence game anyone :mischief:

RaR 1.04b OCC
Mathias
Methos

We need two or three players that are experienced with RaR, preferably comfortable playing at or above Emperor.

I'd like to start a "low tech" game:

In a renewed attempt at mocking some part of history, I'd like to take a giggle about those times when you could only communicate stuff by actually going to the message's recipient. How tough could it get to conquer the world as an Alexander, with no control over home? Or as a Cesar, with only written orders and reports from the frontlines?

- Radio silence (as I tried to describe above)
- RaR 1.04 unless major objections
- Greece, Rome, Mongolia or Russia, since they seem like the most historically suited for this (Russia as in present day Russia, mind you ;))
- We are allowed only a given number of techs, not enough to get medieval
- Conquest or Dom
- EMP and reserved spots for the academy

B05 - Ra(R)dio Silence
Unofficial Roster:
- Beorn
- Open
- Open
- Open
- Open

Anyone interested PM me, I'd like to start it next week, entering October. Hope it gets any interest at all.
