A sort of bulletproof glas...or something like that. Haven't really thought about yet.
Why do you ask?
...are you updated to the latest patch (3.19)? And don't trust the in-game patcher, it's not very reliable.I downloaded and installed this mod but for some reason my Civ 4 crashes every time I'm trying to start this mod. I wonder why. I have this Civ 4 Complete box with Warlords and BtS. Boohoo![]()
Just trying to understand the backdrop a little bit more. Helps me write the events.
I've attached the current XML file and although I didn't really have a chance to work on it this weekend below is an updated change log.
[The Text]
My goal is to get a full pass through done and then go back and make sure the triggers and everything make sense.
It's a great MOD. Now, I'm downloading.

Cheers, LT.
Okay, ask, what you need.
I like the changes.
But i'm thinking a bit of 2 changes:
- Haboob: I didn't know it, and i guess, it's not enough known, what it is. If i'm wrong, correct me.
- Parrots-Event: I guess, it will confuse the players, because there's also silicon as a resource, and the text sounds more, that you would get a new.
The eventtriggers...ah....you can guess: I've changed really no XML keys in my mod (I'm lazy)...so this is maybe a bit difficult, but i hope, you'll do it.
And no, they'll sure make no sense sometimes. The first thing you can see, is the event "A man named Jed", where you can get a free look at the oil in the early game. Doesn't make any sense here, because you can see the oil from the beginning.
Could just be changed to another resource, no big problem.
PaaVi, Lord Tirian is probably right. Try to download 3.19 manually and run it after that,
My plan is to just start by changing the text so that they make more sense. Then go back and start re-working events on a deeper level. Normally I don't have the luxury of looking at all the files at the same time to figure out what is what but I understand and agree.
I downloaded manually that patch from two different websites (random ones). Both of those patches gave me some critical errors and I wasn't able to update.
I don't know what to do and why it doesn't want to update.. I have Vista btw...
What errors did you get?
You can play the mod also with 3.17. Go to BtS\Mods\marsjetzt-v03\assets and delete the CvGameCoreDLL.dll.
This will not affect the mod, you'll have all features in it.
CivComplete has the patch 3.17 included, and 3.19 is the only patch, which has been released after 3.17.
The error...strange.
I see, you're running vista. Do you execute the patch with administrator rights?
Yeah it looks like normal BtS installer. But believe it or not it is the 3.19 patch I was trying to install. I even tried to use that in-game patch installer and it too looked the same. And the result was the same critical error (in finnish) I got with those previous patches I downloaded manually.![]()
I tried out your mod, and I got to say that it looks good, however you need to do some more work on it. You need to fix those events messages, including the one where I get emp weapons when they said "improve shields" or something.
You also need to add in some civilopedia, including the ones on your new religion. Is the Brotherhood of Mars a religion in Warhammer 40K?
Anyways, just do some more improvement on your mod, I like your random efvents where i got a population boost, but also I don't see any meter or anything to show me how my terraforming has been doing.
Also since I dislike having irritated pop ups like colonist (since civ 4 will not allow me to have an empty bar anymore, and i have to alt-click on a unit and have to delete him every certain turn), can you add another wealth/research/culture thingy at the beginning of the game (something that is 25 percent on all) really be appreciated
Another question: You say, you have CivComplete.
On a DVD, or from a download-shop like steam?
sorry, i don't understand what you mean.
But the "building nothing" option can be included.
