From the patch log, it was worth waiting for.

From the quality in which it has been delivered, I am doubtful. Therefor, I checked "unsure - other".

Thanks to Bhruic, the most obvious things have been patched. This is good, of course.
Yet, a patch which needs to be patched by the fanbase? And no word from the company upon these things?

As I am currently running into some problems which maybe are not directly linked to the patch, I lack enough experience to give it a final thumbs up or thumbs down.

Overall, I agree with you, Bello. Thanks to Bhruic's patch, it's much better. I do have some concerns about memory usage that I wasn't experiencing before, so hopefully, when my new RAM gets here, that'll be solved. It just seems that the game sucks up resources more than it did before - but I think that's due to the tweaked AI routines.

If I still have problems after I install the additional RAM, I'm going back to Warlords only, with some regrets.

I chose

No - There are some issues, I am concerned that an official fix is months away

Because the one issue I'm greatly concerned about is the Multiplayer OOS :/
My particular fear is that they will wait until they have all the issues consolidated and more new fixes to put into a brand new patch before it gets fixed when it is an issue that needs immediate attention, like in the next few days attention. I can't get through any multiplayer games with the issue, and I'm not the only one.

regarding the oos
So far everyone who has had that problem has been able to eliminate it by making sure all players do a complete uninstall/reinstall cycle. Not a prefered solution, but it works.

i voted yes, problems will be fixed soon because all the issues i have with the patch have been pretty much fixed already.

I'm not going to vote because I haven't played enough to form a clear opinion, the patch has just been out a couple days right? Just posting to state I can't believe that over 100 people have!

No games are without bugs despite how much efforts or time have been spent - let's focus on the positive side of things:

3.13 + Bhruic's fix >>>> 3.03 ;p

Not true, I uninstalled and OOS problems still hit me (so unless I'm not part of "everyone" its not a true statement :/).

Definitely not worth the wait. And I'm not being bitter because I had to wait so long. But honestly, MP synch is broken and SP often crashes to desktop. They totally screwed it up IMHO.

Did you uninstall AND manually delete all the program and user directories? If not, give it a try. Be sure to hit Program Files..., My Games... and Local Settings...something-or-other...Cache. Also make sure to use the default program installation location, because the patch inappropriately uses a few hard-coded destinations.

Unsure - won't be fixed for months.

Reading through Bhruic's patch changes it seems they missed some very critical things. And I fail to see how the whole culture not displaying in tooltips was not caught in testing when it was delayed so long for testing. But I really didn't get a chance to play much with version 3.03. SO I voted unsure. I kinda just stepped in around the time the patch 3.13 had been annouced it was finished. So I don't have much knowledge at hand on the subject.

I want an option for "Yes - There are some issues, but I am concerned that an official fix is months away."

I'm guessing that the results will pretty much look like the poll I threw together where the results are roughly half positive and half negative, with just a handful at the extremes.

The glace screen may have been ugly, but it was sure useful! Boo hoo on that being gone.

Actually thinking more about the poll there are definitely a few more options that I wish I had put in there - I should have ALSO put in a "No there are some issues and I don't care when i get the patch"

I liked your poll, but I think this poll is showing some interesting things - even though it is flawed.

Didn't the glance screen show who was whoms worst enemy? And did I word that correctly?

Worst enemy = lowest number value? You really need something that tells you who the AI's worst enemy(s) are if they are going to penalize you for not going along with it.

It showed the + or - attitude of each AI towards every other AI. So yes.

Would be nice if they added a worst enemy(s) catagory to the mouse over that shows espionage, and the + and - 's. Along with something on the diplomacy screen.

Yes, it would be excellent, because it isn't *quite* as simple as looking for the lowest number. There are hidden modifiers in there and they *do* matter. A lot. You will occasionally see AIs annoyed with each other while at +1 relations, or pleased with each while at -1 relations. One of the hidden modifiers isn't even predictable, so even if you know how they work, you still can't be certain of the actual values.

Given that the leaders will occasionally tell you who their worst enemy is when you chat to them (the information is available if you can be bothered to spend five boring minutes or so clicking on everybody over and over), and given that they care about it so much, it only seems sensible that we should have instant access to this important information on the diplomacy screen.
