BTS Won't Update to 3.13

Hey, first post here

I was playing a game based on the old V 3.00 version of BTS and got the "loop" bug, where I couldn't go forward. So I downloaded the v3.13 patch and installed it. But when I went back into the game, I got the same problem. So I checked the "about this build" section on the games screen and it said that the game version was still 3.00 (along with the save version) I had already installed it. What should I do? I already updated and installed this thing. Thanks for your time, I was doing really good in this game

are you sure it is not 3.0.0.1? for some reason the patch versions went 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2 -> 3.0.3 -> 3.0.0.1

It says the build version is 3.0.0.86 when I check the "about this build" section on the game screen. Just for fun, I tried to install the patch again after it told me there was an update to 3.13 available (after I had already downloaded and installed it) and it says that Civ 4 BTS is already at v 3.13 in a pop-up window. But it still says there's an update available every time.

3.0.0.86 is wrong - that has been caused by partial installs of the patch (which seems to have such issues). I fear the only real solution to this is to uninstall BtS and reinstall the game and patch directly to 3.13 without doing anything else (preferably with the downloaded patch and not ingame).
If you do this you should make sure that after uninstalling you remove the
users\<name>\my games\beyond the sword
and
users\<name>application data\my games\beyond the sword
directories prior to reinstalling.
