BUFFY Mod problems (Vista problems)

Hello, I have been trolling the CIV fanatics site for years, and have just recently decided to become an active member. My primary intrest is to participate in the HOF/ GOTM CIV 4 (and soon CIV 5) challenges. The reason I am posting is that I keep getting an error message when trying to use the Buffy MOD to play HOF games. It says Buffy MOD will not be able to save settings and my HOF games will be invalid. I have followed all the steps in the VISTA/ WIN 7 fixes HOF page. That is except for messing around with the CIV 4 BTS properties, because I don't have those property options.

I am running vista with service pack 2
I have Civilization complete installed
I have Map finder installed (even though I do not know how to properly use it)
I have the latest BUFFY MOD installed
I Have the latest Patch installed
I am playing on the first admin account, however I created a second admin account and got the same results

I worked at this for a couple hours and am frustrated beyond belief. If someone could help me I would be greatly indebted to them.

Hello, I need help. I recently downloaded the Buffy MOD so I can submit my games. I am running Vista so it took a long process of trial and error to actually get the damn thing to work. I also Have downloaded the Map Finder V1.9. I can not get the damn thing to work. I am playing in the Mod and trying to use the map finder and am getting the message: "Map Finder Save Path is Invalid: C:/ Program files/ Civ4_Map_Finder/ saves". I've been tinkering with it but can not get it to work. Doing research on the site suggests I should be able to see map finder options from within the Buffy Mod options menu. However I cannot see the HOF# tabs. Someone please help. I am a long time silent troll of this site and am looking to take a more active part in the community. Someone please help.

Install Civ 4 as per my guide for win 7, as Vista is similar.
