BUG and HOF mod interface conflict?

BULL itself mostly replaces your CVGameCore.DLL file, but there are some XML files that go into the BUG Custom Assets folders.

If you're going to be using BUFFY, you could just rename your Custom Assets folder to something else when you play, and change it back to normal when playing normal games. It seems to work for me, IIRC, though I haven't used BUFFY in a while.

check the BUFFY.ini file and make sure that 'ignore customassets' is set to 1

I did both of these things. Just the first one, then just the second one, and then both of them. The game still fails to load every time.

When I went back to change the custom assets folder back to its original name, there was a new one there now named custom assets, and then the other one that i had renamed to custom assets old. Is this supposed to happen?

Also, I ran through the trouble shooting things when I first downloaded BUFFY to give admin status, etc.

It seems to just be a problem for loading games which are using BUFFY as opposed to starting new games myself.

Thanks ruff and lemon for the help.

I figured it out. Apparently I was using the wrong .dll file in my pfiles/bts/assets directory. So I've got two in there now.

I use this set-up for BUFFY games:

CvGameCoreDLL.bull.old
CvGameCoreDLL

And this one for regular games:

CvGameCoreDLL
CvGameCoreDLL.buffy.old

I'm sure this is less than ideal but it seems to be working. :)

BUFFY uses its own DLL, but maybe it didn't like having the BULL one in there. As for the new CustomAssets folder, BTS creates it if it doesn't exist every time it starts up. It is full of empty folders, and you can safely delete it.
