Bug in Civ1 for Windows

Yesterday I was playing and had wiped out everyone except for the Americans. I agreed to talk to them and we signed a peace treaty after which you can normally choose between saying how much you like eachother, demanding tribute or having a military proposal. Also this time there was the option of military proposal and I was amazed because I thought the Americans were the last civ left. So I chose that option and the game crashed.... So a good lesson for everyone: don't do as I did.

That is odd. When I did the same thing. The leader said "We have no contact with the Barbarians.'
