Bug mod crashes in multiplayer

Hello,

I recently started using the BUG/BAT mods when playing Civ4. Aside from having initial connection problems, the mods have worked fine. But now Civ4 keeps crashing while playing multiplayer. No new changes have happened to either mine or my friend's PCs. Has anyone else had this problem? And does anyone know of a possible fix? Thank you.

Have you made any changes to your typical game settings such as playing on larger maps or with more AIs?

No. We played a game only a few weeks ago and everything was working fine.
