Bug mod is extremely slow

Which is weird because I just installed Civ4 on my newer, much nicer computer, and I didn't have this sort of problem on the old one. I downloaded Bug Mod 4.4 - might this be the problem?

Try and older version or the version you had on your old computer. That will at least tell you if that's the issue.

I don’t have it nearby. I drive a truck over the road, and the old one is at home.

Hmmm, it is still very slow. The problem is when I move the cursor to the edge of the screen, in order to move around the map, it takes a very long time for the computer to respond.
