Bad luck. The next patch, whenever it comes, should do away with the muliple promotions for units from ancient ruines feature.

Anyway - restarted and it hasn't happened again ... yet !

Still trying to get my head round the new 'Embark' command - playing as the English gives you a lot of scope for settling other islands due to the bonus moves; the only use now for a Trireme is as an escort. Do miss the Civ IV Redcoat, though.
