Bug or something?

After I have finished the Apostolic Palace, the deal of open borders with all parties was passed. But surprisingly I found that my units can peacefully enter those independent cities with Taoism which is my state religion. So actually I have signed open borders with the independent cities as a result of that Apostolic Palace resolution. Which matters is that I can't declare war on the independent countries since then So how can I cancel the damn open borders with the independent cities??

unless you can find a indipendent unit outside its borders (in that case moving one of your units in its tile should ask you if it's a declaration of war), I guess you can only do it through Worldbuilder.

I've tried that on naval unit. Nothing happened...

Yeah I had this happen too. :\ Just pray a civilization you want to conquer isn't your religion, because they'll probably collapse as you conquer them, and suddenly all their cities become immune to conquest by you!

Delete your current Civ IV install completely. Reinstall and patch up to the latest version. Install Rhyes if you havent got BtS and patch up to the latest version. After trying that come back and let us know if your still having problems.

Yeah, I reinstalled everything and it updated where necessary and it works now. Thanks Corm

Sometimes its just daft file corruption that causes the problems. When in doubt I always reinstall! Gets tiring but I *need* to play Rhyes...
