Bug pre-patch vanilla save -blank leader screens

This is a bug of a game I was playing from before the latest patch.

This bug relates to vanilla. It concerns a game that was in the process of being played before the last pacth.

Since the hotfix that solved the problem with the change in leaders I went back to finish an old game.

MAJOR BUG:
When the AI leader comes to you between turns with an offer or threat or offer of trade, there is NO dialogue or message or even menu. Instead the screen hangs, until escape is pressed.

Steps to reproduce:

1. End the turn.
2. Watch the various leader screens open. Press ESC when you get bored.

Minor bug:

When you open a leaders diplomacy screen to initiate diplomacy, "open embassy" is fixed in both leaders trade offers - this is vanilla not G and K

I have attached a save, unfortunately it requires the infoaddict mod. - I'm not sure if that mod could have caused the problem?

Looks like I'm not finishing this game anytime soon

Have you tried to verify the integrity of the game files?
That has already in more than one case fixed such a problem.

Thanks for the advice. HOw would I go about doing that?

Open Steam, go to Library, there choose Civ5. Make a right click on it, go to properties at the bottom. In the upcoming menu go to the tab "local files", there should be a button to verify the integrity. Hit it until no more files are downloaded, then try to play again.
