I have had a lot of issues trying to load saved games both in single player and in multiplayer. On the Initilization step of the load the game drops to desktop. I sniffed around the Civ4 folder and found an error log that might shed some light on the problem.
The log is called Themeparselog.txt
The error's are
Nov 02, 2005 - 07:31:31] Messages while processing 'Resource/Themes/Civ4.thm'
Error : File - ('Civ4Theme_Custom.thm', Ln:4910, Col:47) Could not load bitmap 'Civ4/HUD/city_titlearrows.tga'
Error : File - ('Civ4Theme_Custom.thm', Ln:4918, Col:47) Could not load bitmap 'Civ4/HUD/city_titlearrows.tga'
Error : File - ('Civ4Theme_Custom.thm', Ln:4926, Col:47) Could not load bitmap 'Civ4/HUD/city_titlearrows.tga'
Error : File - ('Civ4Theme_Custom.thm', Ln:4983, Col:47) Could not load bitmap 'Civ4/HUD/city_titlearrows.tga'

I don't know if these errors are actually related to loading of the saved game, since the time and date is about the same as starting the game up, so the error could just be from starting the game rather then loading a saved game.
Anyone have any clue if there is anything I can do? Not being able to load saved games is like Playing Chess on a timer, can't really quite get into it because I know if it crashes or I have to go take care of something my game is over regardless of whether or not I'm actually done. I've got 3 saved games now (3 seperate games I've started) that I would love to finish.
