Hi. I've posted about this problem elsewhere on the boards, but a user directed me to try here as well. So, here goes:
I recently installed BUG on top of my Complete Civ 4 game. I encountered what I now know is a fairly common problem; when opening a game, I received an error message saying, "cannot find mod.ini..." and I had no interface. After trying several things (such as running the game in XP compatibility mode, with full admin rights, etc...) I gave up on BUG and decided to uninstall my game and do a clean reinstall. However, when I loaded up my clean new game installation, I encountered the same problem... despite the fact that I hadn't installed BUG this time around. I've since un- and reinstalled the game several times, even using Revo uinstaller and manually going through my computer to remove every file and folder I could find, but I still get the same problem whenever I open the game.
Can anyone offer me any help or advice?
